Denmark is located in Northern Europe. Together with Greenland and the Faroe Islands, it is called the Kingdom of Denmark. The country is bordered by Germany to the south and it is surrounded by several seas: the North Sea (Nordsøen), the Skagerrak Strait (Skagerrak) and the Kattegat Strait (Kattegat). Denmark consists of the peninsula of Jutland and 443 islands, minor islands and islets.
